We were pretty hungry since it was around 2:00. It seemed like we needed to walk uphill to the main square where the noise was coming. Soon we saw that everyone was wearing all white with red sashes as belts and red hanker chiefs. It was adorable to see whole families dressed up in their festival wear. Soon the party appeared before us and we squeezed through the throngs of white and red clad people to the main square where a band was playing fun music and lots of people were dancing. We snagged a table near the stage and I managed to order a few beers from the bartender inside the nearest bar (no small feat). We had so much fun people watching and joining in the fun for about an hour until the siesta time began. We grabbed a sandwich and headed back to the Albergue to rest and collect our laundry . I'm sure more fun is in store tonight!

Party Time!
After a 19-20km walk in very humid weather and a fair amount of hills, we were glad to check into our Albergue. It was difficult to hear the woman checking us in over the incredibly loud firecrackers blasting off in the streets. We cooled down and were waiting for our packs to arrive, eventually understanding that they had been dropped off at a bar around the corner. It felt fabulous to shower all the sweat off and put on clean clothes.
