Local Ingredients

In Monistrol I asked for a salad at the bar and was treated to my favorite meal so far. Everything was from here, tender lettuce, ripe tomatoes, fresh chevre, walnuts and onion confit. To die for! And a view of the river as well.

The buildings here are all made of local stone and colorful cheery flowers and gardens bursting with late summer produce fill all the nooks and crannies. The doors and window shutters are blue or red or lavender. So pretty!
